The Heat Continues: The Binibining Pilipinas 2012 Second Callback/Screening

    My second day as a pageant "paparazzi" was quite exhausting but at the same time fulfilling and promising. I got a chance to witness some beautiful aspirants coming in the lobby where I was staying. Families and handlers were also there to show their support.

   

    I saw this beautiful chinky-eyed girl who just submitted her application form. I was told that she's a model/PMAP (Professional Models Association of the Philippines). She is part of Aces and Queens and taken under Gaffud's mentorship. Maria Mika Maxine Medina is her name and she's 21 years old. Here she is in her photo collage that I just created for her.     As I was waiting in the lobby, I noticed there was like an art exhibit going on beside us and I just ignored people coming in and out because my focus was to get a glimpse of who were the past beauty queens attended the screening. Stunned and overwhelmed when I saw 1st runner up Miss World 1973 Evangeline Pascual, very casual attending an art exhibit of course. She was very nice and even asked me to see her art pieces. It was an overwhelming experience to stand beside her and pictures being taken at the same time. Here is her  photo collage. (Click to enlarge)

     I saw a media from TV5 interviewing Nina Ricci Alagao, Binibining Pilipinas - Universe 2000 who were also there and did participate in the said event. I think she is into visual arts if my memory serves me right. I remembered she did sketch/paint as her talent in binibini way back in 2000. Here is her photo collage. (Click to enlarge)

       I was very lucky to see  Daisy Reyes, Bininibing Pilipinas - World 1996 who I think she just visited Madam SMA. People were very warm and cheerful seeing her. She even asked us to vote her in the next election. I never thought she would turn into a Beauty Queen-Politician. Here is her photo collage (click enlarge)

  

       After long hours of waiting, the girls finally came out. It was already around 8:00pm - 9:00pm when the girls came out of the screening room one by one and I did take some of their photos. Here are the other remaining photos from the second callback/screening. (Click to enlarge)

         It was a long day for all of us who were there but personally I enjoyed this great moment with people who have the same passion as mine. Before publishing my blog, I'd like to share some of the videos that I took using my camera. Ciao!

 

The Heat Is On: The Binibining Pilipinas 2012 Callback/Screening

         

       It was a beautiful and exciting afternoon to witness one of the most awaited season of this year's Binibining Pilipinas 2012 at Gateways Suites. As a beauty pageant enthusiast, I am so passionate and dedicated on supporting my so called "bets" and I was there right on time just to meet and see some of the girls or should I say "aspirants". There were some of the girls who I have known and joined in the past who tried their luck this time. I saw Nicole Schmitz,  BBPilipinas 2007 contestant who was very friendly and bubbly. Patricia Lae Ejercitado, BBPilipinas 2010 contestant who was a huge surprise for me because of her stunning transformation and her overall package was the best in my opinion. MJ Lastimosa, 2nd runner up last year's BBPilipinas edition was there as well very determined and strong. Janine Tugonon, 1st runner up last year who I have thought won't be there and I think it was a  strategy so that people will believe that she won't join but she did. Lastly, Roanne Aguillar,  BBPilipinas 2010 semi-finalist who was there as well wearing a dark-blue blazer and a nude pink lipstick. In my opinion, I have spotted some of the girls who I think got the potential and some girls who don't based on what I have seen in person. Taste when it comes to beauty really matters to me and I believe beauty is really subjective. They may not be beautiful to others, but that's the reason why beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You will be the judge! I created photo collage of some of the girls I have taken by my digital camera.
